Euglucon (Glyburide) Recommendations
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take Euglucon exactly as directed.
The usual starting dose in adults including the elderly is one Euglucon tablet (2.5mg) a day before breakfast. Your doctor may raise the dose of Euglucon by one tablet at a time (2.5mg) until your diabetes is stabilized. When you are taking 2 or more Euglucon 2.5mg tablets your doctor may change you to Euglucon 5mg tablets.
Continue taking Euglucon for as long as your doctor tells you to.
Euglucon (Glyburide) Precautions
Tell your doctor before taking Euglucon, if:
you are allergic to any medicines;
you have severe liver or kidney problems, or a genetic disorder known as glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency;
you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
