Patanol (generic name: olopatadine; brand names include: Opatanol) belongs to a group of medicines known as antihistamines.
Patanol eye drops are used to treat symptoms of allergies (allergic conjunctivitis) such as itching and redness.
Patanol (olopatadine hydrochloride ophthalmic solution 0.1%) is supplied in 5 ml containers.
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Use your medicine exactly as directed.
The usual recommended dose is one drop in each eye two times per day at an interval of 6 to 8 hours.
Tell your doctor before using Patanol eye drops, if:
you are allergic to any medicines;
you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
