Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Use Mometasone Cream exactly as directed.
Apply a small amount of Mometasone Cream to the affected area once a day. Gently rub the medicine in until it is evenly distributed. Wash your hands after applying Mometasone Cream, unless your hands are part of the treated area.
It is important to use Mometasone Cream exactly as your doctor has told you. If you use it less often than you should, it may not work as well and your skin problem may not improve. Using it more often than you should may not improve your skin problem any faster.
Do not use Mometasone Cream for more than four weeks at a time unless your doctor tells you.
If you forget to use Mometasone Cream, use it as soon as you remember and then go back to your normal time for applying Mometasone Cream. Do not try to make up for the amount you missed by using more than you would normally.
Do not use Mometasone in or near the eyes.
Keep Mometasone Cream in a cool dry place where the temperature stays below 25 degrees C. Do not refrigerate Mometasone Cream.
Before using Mometasone Cream, tell your doctor if:
you are allergic to any medicines;
you have an infection;
you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
