Telma (Micardis) Recommendations

Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take Telma exactly as directed.

Take Telma by mouth with or without food. The usual starting dose of Telma tablets is 40 mg once a day, but dosage must be individualized. Blood pressure response is dose-related over the range of 20 mg to 80 mg.

The antihypertensive effect is apparent after the first dose and maximal reduction is generally attained after 4 weeks.

Try to take Telma at the same time every day.

If you miss a dose of Telma, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Store Telma in a cool dry place, away from direct heat and light.
