Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take your medicine exactly as directed.
For 21-day pack: Take 1 tablet daily for 21 days, then take no pills for 7 days, and then begin the next pack.
You should take your first pill on the first day of your period or on the first Sunday after your period begins (follow your doctor's instructions).
You may need to use back-up birth control, such as condoms or a spermicide, when you first start using birth control pills. Do not skip pills even if you do not have sex very often.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if:
you are allergic to any medicines;
you have a history of heart attack or stroke; or blood clots; or you have cancer;
you are pregnant or suspect that you are pregnant.
Active ingredients: levonorgestrel, ethinyl estradiol.
Days 1-6: Each light brown tablet contains levonorgestrel 0.05 mg and ethinyl estradiol 0.03 mg. Days 7-11: Each white tablet contains levonorgestrel 0.075 mg and ethinyl estradiol 0.04 mg. Days 12-21: Each ochreous tablet contains levonorgestrel 0.125 mg and ethinyl estradiol 0.03 mg.
