Neggram (generic name: Nalidixic acid; brand names include: Wintomylon / WIN-18320 / Uriben / Nalidix / Mictral / Negram) belongs to a group of medicines known as quinolone antibiotics.
Neggram is used for the treatment of both acute and chronic urinary tract infections.
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take Neggram exactly as directed.
The usual initial dose in adults is 1 g taken 4 times daily for 1 or 2 weeks. After the initial treatment period the total daily dose may be reduced to 2 g.
Tell your doctor before taking Neggram, if:
you are allergic to any medicines;
you have any serious medical conditions;
you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
